Are Unicorns Real

To some this may seem like a silly question. Are Unicorns Real? Of course not. But that's not a very scientific attitude. We should carefully consider the evidence

Unicorn Fossils

Elasmotherium Sibiricum

Consider the Elasmotherium sibiricum, found in Kazakhstan, that was estimated to have lived around 30,000 years ago. Ok So there's some room for debate whether that is a true unicorn or not. Sure it has a horn and you could probably ride it but it doesn't exactly look like something a princess would ride to be honest.

The Magdeburg Unicorn

Ok this is a little ridiculous. For one those bones clearly aren't assembled correctly, and I don't think any little girl is dreaming of a unicorn that looks like this. Nightmare fuel, don't want to think about this one too much.

Nevertheless, here's a quick bio

"Seweckenberge, a German steppe known to contain fossils from the ice age and beyond. What is now called the Unicorn Cave is located near the the mountain town of Quedlinburg.

Prussian scientist Otto von Geuricke, who was best known for his invention of the vacuum pump, believed that the collection of fossilized bones belonged to a unicorn. Around five years after their discovery, von Geuricke was said to have reconstructed the bones into the form in which they are most often represented today."

The Unicorn Throughout History

So we might also want to consider the fact that unicorns have appeared in many different cultures at many different times. If unicorns aren't real, why do people across time and space seem to always be thinking of them? Is this some kind of scheme by unicorn based corporations to sell us on the idea of magical creatures?

It's appeared in Mesopotamia, India, China, The Bible?, and of course the landmark classic "The Last Unicorn", released in 1982.

Please let me know if I'm crazy or not, because I started out as a skeptic but after careful research I think unicorns might actually be real. Are unicorns real yes or no?
